Here and there
So ladies, I went back to D.C. a couple of weeks ago and quite honestly this place still feels like home. I've moved almost 2 years ago but I still miss it and most of the time, it feels like I am visiting Montréal as opposed to living here...lol....still got love for Québec though.
Linda also was there so we got to spend some time together. Of course, we did what we do best together, well you've guessed it, SHOPPING!
Here are a couple of accessories I got from Montgomery mall. Maryland in the house!

The yellow pumps are BCBG from Nordstrom and were $105.95 and the clutch -from Arden B - was priced at $40.28
I am pretty happy with what I've got. I got back home and unfortunately realized that I have almost identical shoes. I am flabergasted; I don't know why it didn't cross my mind: I guess everything kinda went blank when I saw them. Oh well! The older ones are more work and afternoon appropriate and the new ones will take me dancing or on a nice date.
3 weeks prior to heading to D.C., I went to Rockland Mall here in MTL and literally gasped when I saw this oxford booties. Before you say anything, let me tell you how I have been on a quest for the perfect booties for a while now and although I didn't imagine them patent, I fell... head over heals. It was love at first sight. They were a bit big but I didn't care! I still love them and stare at them every now and then. Pathetic I know...but swear to me you've never done this before!![]()

They are Michael Michael Kors and were on sale for about $120. The store-the only Michael Kors store in Montréal-is worth taking a visit if you've never been there. Once there, ask for the very nice Selia.

My printed bag by L.
Hey ladies!
We have a new category; the idea came from emails we often receive from readers wanting to know more about our personal style....Ask and it shall be given.....
Last month, I was shopping for a new every day bag like a black hobo or a brown satchel one; something very classic and neutral. But, when I arrived in the Nordstrom bag departement, I totally changed my mind: I was blown away by a range of bold colors: red, yellow, orange, blue, green; almost all the colors of the rainbow were represented. It reminded me of how fast spring was approaching. And then my eyes caught this one (picture below) and I was doomed.

Yes a printed bag! It's so far from a classic black hobo! But I absolutely loved the shape of the purse. This oversized satchel is by African American designer, Tracy Reese. At first, I was a little hesitant because of the tag price, $250. I usually would not spend that much on a printed bag mainly because it's difficult to match...and truth be told, printed bags only last a few seasons. But this one was special; I really wanted to spoil myself (for my b-day), I finally bought it and it was the last one they had in store !!! Maybe they saved the best for last??

Closet Confidential by F.
TGIF!
The first thing I do when I get my Elle UK is rush to their closet confidential section. And I most of the time, picture myself sitting in one of the closets trying on accessories. Oh how I love the way the magazine emphasizes accessories in this section...almost as if they had their own personnalities. My accessories do and who knows maybe one day -if you promise not to have me committted- I will tell you all about it.
I am sure Daisy de Villeneuve -a fashion illustrator- won't mind me playing with her vintage accessories in the 2nd picture on the right...
